If your jeans brand is “Wide Load” perhaps you might consider a exercise, diet and supplement program. But, if you don’t exercise, you won’t be burning off that bodacious bootie, you will just be burning bucks.
The problem is it is hard to find something to help reduce those unwanted pounds. Two recent Swedish studies have shown 9 popular weight loss supplements were no more effective than the fake supplements they were compared with.

There are scores of slimming supplements out there claiming weight-loss effects through all sorts of mechanisms of action. Ads for ”fat magnets, mobilizers and dissolvers, as well as appetite tamers, metabolism boosters, carb blockers” are everywhere. Researchers tested selected plant extracts and found them no more effective than placebo. And the more supplements you see, the harder it is for manufacturers to come up with “newest” and the “greatest” next fat burner. Konjac is an example of one of the newer gimmicks..
eg. What exactly is Konjac?

Konjac is a rather obscene looking root grown in parts of Asia. The starch is extracted & then, like corn or potatoes here, it’s turned into a variety of products, like noodles, chews, candies, etc. It’s flavor neutral & lends itself to modifications. It’s a vegan substitute for gelatin. Also it’s high fiber. And, in supplement form, it doesn’t work for weight loss.
Size does matter!

78 percent of people who are on a diet think the most important thing they need to do is watch what they eat. There’s all these books on low-carb, low-fat dieting, but nothing about portion sizes. How much you eat is more important than what you eat. You see, size of the food matters!
Patch – the pudgy pooch says, “don’t go barking up the wrong tree”

Patch, a six-year-old beagle dog is so heavy at 62 lbs. (28 kg) that his legs cannot support him and he has to be placed in a special harness and carried around! Dog and owner need to manage portions better and exercise more! Don’t go looking for slim in a bottle – these supplements are only rewards for hard work, not substitutes for it.

Time to install a backup beeper in a size 27 pair of jeans for Kim Kardashian (no kidding),

Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)- can really tie you up!
SHBG is produced by the liver cells and is released into the bloodstream. Other sites that produce SHBG are the brain, uterus, and placenta and vagina. In addition SHBG is produced by the testes; testes-produced SHBG is also called androgen-binding protein.
Why is this important? When you are doing testosterone replacement therapy, or trying to maximize your own natural supply, you must try to keep SHBG from increasing or else you will be a weak sister, with erection problems, or ED!

Pop the Protein Bubble – SHBG looks for testosterone to take out of circulation
As you know, the human body uses testosterone to bind to cells and promote lean muscle mass, sexual energy, and vitality. However, the majority of testosterone is bound or weakly-bound to sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and therefore, useless.

This is an example of what can happen with too much SHBG binding up your testosterone.
Estrogen increases SHBG, so if you don’t control estrogen through medications, more of your free testosterone is bound by SHBG and wasted! The good news is that Vigorous exercise lowers SHBG. So total testosterone isn’t that important, it is what is available (or free) that makes all the difference.
If you are on any kind of testosterone program, and your doctor hasn’t prescribed estrogen blockers, that doctor doesn’t know enough about testosterone, and you should call my office, dial the number at www.pbpmed.com, and get some real help. Also, keep eating decently, exercise like crazy, and take your vitamins and mineral supplements. www.ivitaminscience.com.

Exercise - there is no substitute for fitness when it comes to sexual performance
Not only must you have the energy that exercise can bring to your body and life, you need the strength to perform. Abdominal strength and arm strength play a large role in how well you hold up in your bedroom. Of course, without aerobic capacity gained though hard work – you simply will run out of breath before your partner does!
Women

The aim of Kegel exercises is to fortify muscle tone by strengthening the pubococcygeus muscles(PC) of the pelvic floor.
So overall body tone makes a big difference, but what about inner muscle strength? Most women know about pelvic muscle floor weakness – responsible for urinary leakage when sneezing, or straining – common after having a baby. Well, these muscles are responsible for sexual pleasure, and enhance orgasmic contractions. A Kegel exercise, named after Dr. Arnold Kegel, consists of contracting and relaxing the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor (sometimes called the “Kegel muscles”). If you work on the PC, you can really make your sex life even better for yourself and your partner.
The Fawcet Test to measure your PC progress
1. When your bladder is full bladder go to the bathroom and start to urinate, then quickly tighten your pc muscle and stop the flow of urine. 2. Release and start to urinate again and repeat.

The Japanese iGallop “Abdominal Strengthener” Cost to be taken for a ride $250.00.
This iGallop machine actually mimics the actions of riding a horse, and might have some benefit to the abdominals. Probably the most value of the iGallop would be if you practice your Kegel exercises while on the horse! If you can strengthen your pelvic floor – orgasms are easier and more intense. Aerobic exercise performed at high intensity for 20 minutes not only releases natural antidepressant in your brain, but adds a measure of testosterone, estrogen, and even human growth hormone for your body! You not only look good, you are good when you exercise regularly and vigorously. Of course, you need proper nutrition, all the hormones, and targeted vitamins and minerals http://ivitaminscience.com to make everything work the best.
The Men

Golf Digest stated, Camilo is the “most ripped player on the PGA Tour”
It wasn’t Kegel exercises that has helped Camilo Villegas sculpt his body and swing, it was the exercise called the “Russian twist” that did it. The Russian Twist strengthens the lower back and shoulders and promotes separation between the upper body and lower body. Lie back on a physio ball and hold a dumbbell with two hands overhead. Rotate your upper body from side to side, rolling onto your shoulders. Camilo has won about $4 Million dollars in his pro golfing career and his workout routine has provided him with the edge he needs to win on the course, and most likely helps him in dealing with all the women chasing him home from the links.

Kegel Exercises for Men has multiple advantages!
Some Kegel masters claim it is possible for men to train this area strong enough to have orgasms without ejaculation, so they can have “multiples’ and they can last longer. Some men report that they have less problems with erectile dysfunction (ED) when they strengthen their pelvic muscles. Men spend so much time at the gym working on their body muscles, but they often ignore their pubococcygeus -the same muscle that is weak in women. In fact, most men don’t even know about the pubococcygeus, though its role during male orgasm is hard to ignore. The pubococcygeus ( PC muscle) can be strengthened to improve sex – power, length, and can be exercised without any equipment.
Here are 3 ways to strengthen the PC muscle, men! 1.While standing with knees slightly bent, pretend you are holding a coin between the muscles of your buttocks and grip it tightly. 2.With penis flaccid, try to lift the scrotum and retract the penis by contracting the muscles. 3. Use the muscles to stimulate stopping urination and then starting again. The exercises should be performed as many as 90 times a day, and at least three to four weeks are required to have an affect.

“Love Love” – Tennis Anyone? Everyone! Good Exercise leads to Stinky Shoes and Great Sex, so don’t wait – lace up, and get active in any sport (and do those Kegels too.)

Horny Goat Weed – (this is just a picture of a goat, the herb comes from the ground
)
This amazing Chinese herb has almost mythical powers, and has been used by practitioners around the world for over 2,000 years to restore sexual desire and to boost performance in the bedroom. Known as Yin Yang Huo, this herb’s method of action has not been well described, yet it is felt that it boosts nitrous oxide when the dried leaves that contain sterols like magnaflorine, are consumed. Just two to four capsules of a good quality horny goat weed product should really get your juices going and put some punch back in your game.

Smoking Horny Goat Weed is not recommended, it can make you wear silly hats. There are people who are eating and smoking this weed, and both ideas are bad. You will stink in bed and stink in general from the smoke. Just pick a quality brand of HGW and take the capsules as directed.
Don’t stink, take Zinc! (and Vitamin E)

Vitamin E sometimes is called the “sex vitamin” as it plays an important role in the male and female sexual experience. During the sexual intercourse (coitus) both clitoris and penis require additional quantity of oxygen, which is delivered with blood. Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) helps blood cells to transport oxygen quickly and effectively, avoiding thus the process of oxidation. Vitamin E plays influences greatly a pituitary body which controls the work of genitals. If there is an insufficient amount of zinc in a man, they will not have sex desire, cannot keep an erection, nor will they produce sperm that are healthy or in sufficient number – basically their potency will be lower. In the course of time the body partly loses ability to acquire zinc with nutrition. The lack of zinc can cause serious problems for men and all nutrients and co-factors need to be in good supply to remain healthy and vital.
Cnidum Monnier

This popular sex stimulator herb is often found in combination with other botanicals in natural erection booster formulations. It grows in China, Russia, Europe, and now in Oregon, USA. It is a bitter herb, that often is found growing in ditches, and wasteland that increases nitric oxide release while inhibiting PDE-5 (like Viagra) which means healthy erections that last a long time. Most all products that contain this and related herbs, call themselves “natural viagra” but they clearly are not. Products include this herb with other botanicals including ginseng, tribulus, and arginine to name just a few and market their product well, preying on guys who feel a tremendous urge to solve their problem.
Nothing Fake Here – Cameron is a Natural Aphrodisiac!

“Sex is the best! You have to really enjoy being sexy. Not fake anything. Sexy is being in the moment, whether that means being coy or coming on hard. Faking is always lame and it never comes across the way you want it to.”– Cameron Diaz, actress and model
“Strips or Steel?” – There’s a sucker born every minute with ED apparently

Since these products are considered dietary supplements, and treated as food, they don’t have to meet any standards that drugs must to be sold. So be wary of products that promise too much, you know the ones with the fancy labels, as they usually don’t bring anything to the table (or your bedroom!) Actually the only thing that gets bigger is the wallet of the guy you are sending your money to.
Sun, Sleep, and Fresh Air – in the end, you need to lower your stress, and enjoy your life

Without doubt best aphrodisiacs are sun, a good sleep and fresh air. A good sleep is necessary for the body to pack itself up, to increase its energy and revitalize its hormones. Sun light is a powerful doping for our body including sexual hormones. The main reason of men’s vitality in holidays is being relaxed in fresh air. So, if you want to keep your dog in the hunt, it pays to take in proper nutrition, add supplements, exercise, keep your priorities in order, and let go of the nasty habit of not smelling the roses as life goes by.
Time Matters,

Over a lifetime, only a fraction of a percentage of people escape headaches. It has been estimated that 9/10 people have at least one headache per year. 1 in 5 will have a migraine headache sometime in their life- which means over a billion people worldwide will at some point have a migraine episode. It has been suggested that almost 20 million migraine headaches happen every day somewhere in the world. So, it is a huge problem, and not a new one.

Supermodel, Elle MacPherson – known as “the Body” suffers from migraines (may be triggered by Guy Richie)
Aretaeus of Cappadocia (Eastern Turkey) did not discover Elle, but he is credited as the “discoverer” of migraines because of his description of the symptoms of a unilateral headache associated with vomiting, with headache-free intervals in between attacks.

The difference between regular headaches and migraines are- with migraines usually there is an alert time or “aura” that precedes the pain, and repeatable associated triggers that cause one to happen. (85% of migraine sufferers could report something that sets off the migraine.) These include weather (up to 50%), missing a meal (40%), stress (about 50%), alcohol (50%) and various types of food (45%). About 50% of women report menses as a trigger. A recent study showed that over 50% considered crying to be a trigger. Not very many people even realize that they have migraines, and think it is allergies, and sinus related.

Botox has many useful applications!
Botox (Botulinum toxin)is a medication and a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum distributed by Allergan . When injected into the body, it blocks neurotransmitter release which powers muscles thereby paralysing them. We use Botox as a cosmetic enhancer by eliminating muscle contraction of the forehead and face – those muscles that cause excess rhytids( wrinkles). It is very effective, exceedingly safe, and has millions of adoring fans! Everyone is familiar with that. But the properties of Botox can be utilized for other medical issues, beyond the surface of the skin, or the pores that produce sweat.

Inject the Migraine right between the eyes!
Migraines are felt to be related to muscular spasm, and erratic blood vessel contraction and expansion. Once this occurs, a cascade of inflammation happens which causes the severe pain, nausea, light and noise sensitivity. This is where botox comes in. If we mix about 80 IU’s of Botox (twice what we might use for frown lines and crow’s feet) and inject it in precise locationsaround the brows, eyes, and neck area, we can get a remarkable result lasting 6 -8 months. Some doctors just inject between the eyes (glabellar region) and feel the frown muscles – (corrugators) are responsible for migraines, but I think you need to inject the back of the scalp at nape of the neck in order to get the best result. We charge about $1120 for the treatment which can really give you your life back!

If you cut out the muscles that allow you to frown, what if you’re not happy with the result?
New treatments include surgical removal of the frown muscle, which I think is ridiculous, unnecessary, and expensiveat $6000. A more balanced approach of proper sleep, diet, exercise, hormonal balance, stress reduction, and targeted supplements makes more sense, and can have a -lasting impact. There has been remarkable improvement in many migraine sufferers just with supplementation of magnesium, 500 -600 mg, CoQ10, 30 – 50 mg and Vitamin B2, 100 – 150 mg to their diets. Of course, caffeine and many herbal supplements have also been tagged as helpful. I would recommend people to check out http://ivitaminscience.comto see how you can get your precise vitamin, mineral and coQ1o levels checked, so see what your body needs to be balanced and healthy. You will soon be able to get your hormones like testosterone, growth hormone, estrogen progesterone, your vitamins and minerals, regular blood, urine, or saliva tests checked without going to see your doctor at http://whitecoatlaboratorycompany.com. Watch for that coming soon!
Have a headache free day!

While there are many doctors doing the Botox Breast Lift Procedure, it remains highly controversial and only moderately successful overall. I have performed this procedure with remarkable success in some, and less than exciting results in others. So let’s step back a minute and look at how this procedure is designed to work – in order to do so we must review a little chest wall anatomy.

The pectoralis muscles work together to maintain the position of the breast. The larger pectoralis major muscle maintains the height of the breast tissue, while the smaller pectoralis minor muscle keeps the breast from undue motion pulling downward. The smaller the breasts, the easier it is for the muscles to maintain position and reduce excessive motion. After breast enhancement surgery , depending on whether the implant is silicone or saline filled, and whether it was placed over the pectoralis or under it, will make a huge difference in how the chest wall maintains breast position and whether Botox will be effective.

Since Botox (a toxin and medication produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum) injected into an area will cause a depolarization block and subsequent muscle paralysis- we can utilize this feature in many different ways. Everyone is familiar with cosmetic usage in the face to give a more younger appearance free of deep lines and wrinkles. We now use Botox to reshape eyebrows, turn frowns into pleasant smiles, stop unwanted and excessive sweating, and yes, even restore a more youthful breast appearance. Knowing the anatomy of the pectoralis muscles, and using simple pulley mechanics, we can inject the smaller muscle, the pectoralis minor muscle with Botox and it will relax. Then the stronger Pectoralis major muscle will have little resistance to the upward pull and can lift the breast skyward.

We have to use a significant amount of Botox, usually a full bottle which contains 100IU. We charge $1500 for this procedure, and the results last around 4 months. Since Botox is a strong toxin, and you have many vital areas on your body, it is important that the doctor doing the procedure is very familiar, and comfortable with the injection process. Many doctors feel it is too dangerous, and also might limit a person’s ability to exercise which I have not found to be the case. Certainly, those patients who are very fit, with strong chest and arms do much better with the procedure than those who are less developed. Again, women with firmer, and smaller breast mass also seem to fare much better than those with large pendulous breasts. Remember, those who need a breast augmentation are not the target patient for this procedure. It isn’t intended to make breasts look larger, or to rehab an augmentation gone bad. It is a body shaper, which lifts breasts and spirits, and can really seem to make those few unwanted pounds in the midsection seem to melt away.
Breasts and Breast Augmentation continues to be a major topic of discussion, the quest for the perfect shape is especially strong in the entertainment and modeling industry. It is a tough job being a plastic surgeon these days- for it is possible to get sued even when the results are fantastic!

Ex-Ms. Norway, now Maxim model, Kelly Hansen is suing her doctor to get him to pull down the before and after photos of her surgery. He said she would have to pay him to pull them down! She just paid him to” pull them up!” It’s a wacky world.

“Lunchtime Liposuction” is a catchy term for what cosmetic physicians call “injection lipolysis.” It is a relatively new and increasingly popular treatment in the U.S. that’s being touted as a nonsurgical solution to stubborn, localized fat. I trained in this procedure under the tutelage of two superstars in the mesotherapy business, Dr. Jacques Le Coz (on the right -whose mentor was Dr. Pistor (on the left- the inventor of mesotherapy) and Dr. Rittes (in the middle -the world’s foremost mesotherapy and mesolift expert use in aesthetic medicine) and owe my excellent record of success to them.

Lipodissolve (PC/DC) is the trade name given to a process called injection lipolysis - which is a quick ( 15 -30 minutes) non-surgical method designed to get rid of body fat by injecting a chemical under the skin and around the fat cells. The two chemicals used are: Phosphatidylcholine, (PC)which occurs naturally in the body as a component of cell membranes. Lecithin shows up in egg yolks, soybeans, fish and other foods. The form used for Lipodissolve is mainly extracted from soybeans. The second component is: Deoxycholate, (DC) which is a “bile acid,” a solvent that the liver secretes to break up fat that enters your small intestine. It really acts like a large bar of natural soap- injected into areas you want to “clean up!” A popular branded kit we can use is called, Revital Celluform, which is a high caliber compounded product. It is basically equivalent to Lipodissolve. Recent research conducted at UCLA suggests it is actually the DC that is doing all the work, not the PC that originally was felt to be the main player!

Usually targeted areas, like the upper and lower belly, love handles, hips, saddlebags, jawline, or even eyelids are injected 4- 10 times spaced over as many weeks. The result is selective fat lyses by breaking the adipocyte (fat cell) membranes with no damage to neighboring structures like skin, blood vessels, and peripheral nerves. The fat clearance is performed by the physiological pathways, i.e. the lymphatic, venous and immune systems. The best result is seen at 6 – 12 weeks after first injection. You can expect significant swelling, redness, and itchy feeling for the first 24 hours after the injections, and a bloated feeling in the abdomen (if injected there) which may persist for a week or so. This swelling is an indication that the fat melting has begun, and when it goes away, the small frown you may have had before, will be replaced by a large smile as you see your new shape emerge.

Remember, Lipodissolve is designed to remove small, stubborn pockets of fat that refuse to disappear with exercise and diet. It’s not a cure for obesity. People with a high body mass index (BMI) are often not candidates for the procedure. I will not perform the procedure on patients with Insulin-Dependent Diabetes, patients on blood thinners or anti-coagulants, and patients with active serious skin infections.
Patients often ask me, ” is this as good as liposuction?” I would summarize with this notion: Lipodissolve is frosting – it is up to you through diet, exercise, nutrition, and a balanced lifestyle to make the cake! For those who have eaten way too much cake – choose liposuction! The fact is that almost 50% of my patients have already had at least one liposuction surgery, and have gained the weight back! If the procedure is done well, by a qualified physician, results can be quite good, it is about 1/3 the price of surgery, there is little to no downtime, and yes, it can be done at lunchtime! TIME is Health & Money! Please remember, this procedure is a reward for hard work -not a substitute for it!
