Turkey Increases Testosterone
The protein from organic turkey will help maintain optimum testosterone levels, and increase it in men who build muscle through working out. True organic is better than traditional commercial turkey because the hormones used in industrial turkey can increase estrogen production and lower testosterone levels. Diets low in protein in elderly lead to elevated sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) levels and decreased testosterone bioactivity. Fat makes estrogen! The decrease in bioavailable testosterone can result in declines in sexual function and muscle and red cell mass, and contribute to the loss of bone density.

Turkey sandwiches decrease your waist size and boost your sex life
President Obama charged a reporter on his campaign bus $115.62 for a cup of soup and a turkey sandwich. This change we can believe in- it is called taxation, taxation, taxation. We should have seen the writing on the wall then. We do have a lot of turkeys in Congress and the White House right now. Eating turkey is good, voting for them is bad.

Don’t be Trypped up by Turkey and Sleep through Sex
Turkey does have the makings of a natural sedative in it, an amino acid called tryptophan. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, meaning that the body can’t manufacture it. Tryptophan helps the body produce the B-vitamin niacin, which, in turn, helps the body produce serotonin, a remarkable chemical that acts as a calming agent in the brain and plays a key role in sleep. Nobody has sex right after a thanksgiving dinner – except for vegetarians.

News Flash! “You get smarter the more you walk!” Brain Size Matters!

What?
Scientists have found in a recent study that walking increases the volume and the efficiency of the brain, and also improves memory and attention. New research is focused on why this doesn’t seem to affect blondes in the same way. Rumor is they are focusing on Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears as test subjects.

As little as three hours a week of brisk walking over a period of 6 months increases blood flow to the the brain and triggers biochemical changes that increase production of new brain neurons. Stretching , sex, and non-aerobic exercise has no effect on brain size. (obviously, Pamela Anderson and Jenna Jameson)

I calculated it out, that in order to be smarter you need to walk about 234 miles. That is 9 marathons! If you couple this exercise routine with proper diet, human growth hormone, testosterone and other bioidentical hormones, proper vitamins and minerals http://www.ivitaminscience.com you might be invited to MENSA in less than 6 months! No doubt you would be much smarter!

Suggestion to US Senate, Congress, and Capital Hill: You all need to Take a hike! Sen. Harry Reed, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and President Obama especially! From Wash DC to New York City is about 230 miles – so I suggest you all get walking! After getting your necessary brain boost, throw out the current socialized medicine bill, and start over, working with the Republicans, and physician experts (not personal injury lawyers) to get a upgrade to the private health care system that already is the finest in the world.

HGH makes Super Heroes
Human Growth Hormone (HGH) replacement therapy is one of many great tools used in anti-aging medicine. It has been shown that as we age our bodies natural growth hormone production decreases. Actually, we continue to make HGH -see below. Many of the negative effects of aging are seen as a result of this decrease.

I have found that the American Academy of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine (AAARM) provides the finest education to physicians who want to excel in the advanced preventive medicine arena. I have just been Board Certified in Anti-aging and Rejuvenation Medicine and we believe in Growth Hormone and Sermorelin and other cutting edge products where I practice in Palm Beach. I have seen patients achieve phenomenal results with few even minor side effects from Sermorelin or HGH. Of course, we do it all, and that includes dietary, physical, and nutrient replacement along with the replacement of selective hormones to keep people performing optimally.

Charcoal Grill Starter – the New York Times
The natural HGH coursing through your body right now is, indeed, a perfectly remarkable anabolic hormone. There has been so much bad press about “Steroids” and “Anabolics” but the drama has been produced by those looking for sensationalism and fueled by their ignorance. Steroids are not only helpful and safe, when provided by a competent doctor, and they are essential to life. (Cholesterol and Estrogen are steroids!) HGH produced by the pituitary gland throughout life, but the levels gradually decline with age. The hormone is key for growth of muscle, bone and cartilage, enhances immune function and helps burn fat.

The Core Fat Killer
One of the best things about HGH is the fact that it allows us to burn off that flabby stomach, or aggravating “love handles.” When you try to starve yourself thin while running or biking miles and miles, you will first see a loss of muscle mass, but your stomach may just sit there looking at you. Frustrating! With a small injection of HGH 5 days a week you will literally see your body reshaping. Bring out the skinny jeans, or get those work jeans on without cutting off important circulation again!

Atm AntiAging
HGH can be expensive ($600 – 900.00 per month USD) yet worth every penny! Honestly, how important is your health to you? There simply isn’t any finer product on the market available to you that can do so much.
Timeless.

Gynecomastia - Male Breast Development (aka Man Boobs, Moobies, Bitch Tit)

Androgel, or any testosterone product (cream, patch, pill, or injection) can turn out to be a disaster for men (and doctors) who don’t know all about hormones and how they work. You must block estrogen using an aromatase inhibitor or you risk breast development and many other problems! In my practice, I see tons of guys who complained to their doctors about low sex drive, and they were promptly given a sample and prescription for a year’s worth of cream. This is much worse than if you did nothing! I single out Androgel, because it is the most common offender of boobs (in the gym they are always called “Bitch Tits”) in men because of the convenient pump. That convenience quickly turns to more than an inconvenience! Does anyone have the number of that plastic surgeon that does breast reduction in men? 1 800 No Estrogen Blocker.
The Testosterone Cascade

The Aromatase Enzyme- (see the left side of the diagram) Here’s how testosterone is converted to active metabolites some good – some bad (for men). It is the estradiol that causes many problems for men, not just “man boobs”, but it can cause bloating, emotional outbursts, tears, depression, love of the color pink
, and leads to loss of the ability to keep an erection (ED). The sad part is, the testosterone does increase desire and erections, but the estrogen makes it impossible to do anything. I am not a conspiracy freak, but I wonder if Androgel and Viagra have teamed up on the men of this world?

Diet Testosterone – if you look at this picture for two minutes solid – you won’t eat for a week and you will lose weight.
Look for my upcoming blog on synthetic and natural estrogen blockers – they really are the power behind any good testosterone treatment plan.
Time counts,

If it is summer season, and you want to show off your coconuts, you’ll have to “get crackin.”

Coconut oil (Triheptanoin) has been called “the healthiest oil on earth“ and it can help you lose weight too! Outside of mother’s milk, pure coconut oil is nature’s most plentiful source of lauric acid, which has many beneficial properties including antiviral , antibacterial, and other nasty bugs killing abilities. Maybe we can battle the swine flu with coconut milk?!

Lose unwanted pounds going medium, not long!
So, by changing the fats in your diet from the unsaturated long-chain fatty acids found in vegetable or seed oils to the medium chain fatty acids in coconut oil, along with exercise , you will find yourself gradually losing those unnecessary pounds. Bikini bulges are no match for coconuts as they not only burn off body fat, but increase your metabolism too! These are magical nuts indeed!
So, make room for some nuts in your diet, and look great and be healthy this season. If you get a little coconut on your face along the way, don’t worry!

Heroes TV Star Ali Larter loves Coconut Milk Cleanser which can help keep your skin looking soft, full, and amazing. This oil is good for you inside and out.
Happy reading you nuts out there,
Dr. Frye

“Lunchtime Liposuction” is a catchy term for what cosmetic physicians call “injection lipolysis.” It is a relatively new and increasingly popular treatment in the U.S. that’s being touted as a nonsurgical solution to stubborn, localized fat. I trained in this procedure under the tutelage of two superstars in the mesotherapy business, Dr. Jacques Le Coz (on the right -whose mentor was Dr. Pistor (on the left- the inventor of mesotherapy) and Dr. Rittes (in the middle -the world’s foremost mesotherapy and mesolift expert use in aesthetic medicine) and owe my excellent record of success to them.

Lipodissolve (PC/DC) is the trade name given to a process called injection lipolysis - which is a quick ( 15 -30 minutes) non-surgical method designed to get rid of body fat by injecting a chemical under the skin and around the fat cells. The two chemicals used are: Phosphatidylcholine, (PC)which occurs naturally in the body as a component of cell membranes. Lecithin shows up in egg yolks, soybeans, fish and other foods. The form used for Lipodissolve is mainly extracted from soybeans. The second component is: Deoxycholate, (DC) which is a “bile acid,” a solvent that the liver secretes to break up fat that enters your small intestine. It really acts like a large bar of natural soap- injected into areas you want to “clean up!” A popular branded kit we can use is called, Revital Celluform, which is a high caliber compounded product. It is basically equivalent to Lipodissolve. Recent research conducted at UCLA suggests it is actually the DC that is doing all the work, not the PC that originally was felt to be the main player!

Usually targeted areas, like the upper and lower belly, love handles, hips, saddlebags, jawline, or even eyelids are injected 4- 10 times spaced over as many weeks. The result is selective fat lyses by breaking the adipocyte (fat cell) membranes with no damage to neighboring structures like skin, blood vessels, and peripheral nerves. The fat clearance is performed by the physiological pathways, i.e. the lymphatic, venous and immune systems. The best result is seen at 6 – 12 weeks after first injection. You can expect significant swelling, redness, and itchy feeling for the first 24 hours after the injections, and a bloated feeling in the abdomen (if injected there) which may persist for a week or so. This swelling is an indication that the fat melting has begun, and when it goes away, the small frown you may have had before, will be replaced by a large smile as you see your new shape emerge.

Remember, Lipodissolve is designed to remove small, stubborn pockets of fat that refuse to disappear with exercise and diet. It’s not a cure for obesity. People with a high body mass index (BMI) are often not candidates for the procedure. I will not perform the procedure on patients with Insulin-Dependent Diabetes, patients on blood thinners or anti-coagulants, and patients with active serious skin infections.
Patients often ask me, ” is this as good as liposuction?” I would summarize with this notion: Lipodissolve is frosting – it is up to you through diet, exercise, nutrition, and a balanced lifestyle to make the cake! For those who have eaten way too much cake – choose liposuction! The fact is that almost 50% of my patients have already had at least one liposuction surgery, and have gained the weight back! If the procedure is done well, by a qualified physician, results can be quite good, it is about 1/3 the price of surgery, there is little to no downtime, and yes, it can be done at lunchtime! TIME is Health & Money! Please remember, this procedure is a reward for hard work -not a substitute for it!

Although contrary to the intuitive male, sometimes two is better than 8!
Anyone who has decided to waste part of their lives and watch the TV show “Jack & Kate makes 8″ knows just how expensive children can be. But, did you know that more than 8 Tylenol might cost you your life? No doubt you’ve heard the latest news about Acetaminophen (aka Paracetamol, Tylenol), right? Well, just out of the blue, the FDA issues warnings, and everyone’s out of shape and worried about the Tylenol or Advil that they’ve been taking for years. It turns out that a recent study shows what we, in the medical community have always known, excess use of acetaminophen can cause of acute liver failure.

Being a former Emergency Room Doctor, I am well aware of the dangers of Tylenol, and had to deal with some VERY unfortunate situations as far as accidental, and purposeful overdoses of this seemingly innocuous drug. While utterly heart crushing to see an infant die from eating a bottle of Tylenol left around, it seemed almost even harder (if possible) for me to see young teens who just needed attention for their fears, or relief from temporary pain try to get that need filled by taking too many Tylenol. I guess since this was in the intentional side of the equation, I felt worse about it? They weren’t really trying to kill themselves, but sometimes they did. Well, we would pump the stomach, add charcoal, and push N-acetylcysteine, and then get the dreaded blood acetominophen level. Within hours the teen would feel and look great, the parents awash with relief – but we would plot the number on our chart to see if the patient would be one to later succomb from the severe and silent damage to their livers. Kids here one day, then gone tomorrow - so sad, and very, very bad!

This scenerio plays out everyday, everywhere. It is estimated that more than 56,000 emergency room visits a year are due to acetaminophen overdoses, and about 100 – 200 people a year die after an unintentional (not counting the intentional) overdose of the drug, according to Food and Drug Administration!

Dose Matters! Don’t be greedy, two are plenty!
The label has always stated that you are not supposed to take more than four grams a day, which translates to eight 500 mg extra strength Tylenol tablets (24 hours – not just daylight hours). People are easily popping up to a dozen pill in a day; they take it too frequently, or take 3 at a time! All that the studies are showing, is that you really pay attention to what you are doing. We originally thought you needed to take a mountain of pills to cause damage to your liver. It turns out that the danger level is not far from what people are taking. “Problems begin at 5 grams to 5.75 grams.” That’s only a difference of one additional pill; or two extra a day. (Scary to know that at least 15% of those who develop liver damage from Tylenol didn’t exceed the recommended dose!)

NAPQI is the breakdown product from Tylenol that kills the liver, alcohol makes this worse. Tylenol isn’t to be used for hangovers!
First, realize that Tylenol is in over 600 products! You can obtain the list from http://tylenol.com/page.jhtml?id=tylenol/news/subpliver1.inc just so you aren’t taking tylenol without knowing it. Keep bottles in a safe spot so children, or pets don’t get into it. Also know that alcohol use, medication use, and smoking can make it even easier to injure the liver with Tylenol. People who are on high protein diets – like Atkins can also be more succeptable to damage at lower doses. Don’t use Tylenol for hangovers, consider Aspirin, a good Multvitamin, maybe glutathinone, sleep, and plenty of water instead.

One a day aspirin will keep the doctor away
Scientists are now looking into whether good old fashioned “one aspirin a day” might be a way to reduce liver toxicity due to alcohol, medications or infections. Also there are agents being studied, known as TLR (toll-like receptors) antagonists, that block receptors in the liver which activate inflammation which seem to be key to a healthy liver and life. So damage will have to pay a toll to get to your liver one day! We know aspirin is good at preventing strokes and heart attacks, but it can be hard on the stomach! If you do take it take the 81 mg tab and watch for stomach irritation - I’ll write on that topic another day. While TLR’s are not ready for prime time, they may be perhaps soon. Since I am the TimeMasterMD, I’ll keep watching and keep you posted!
